I lucked out today! The challenge this week on the Dreamweaver blog was to use a stencil and CASE a Dream Team member for inspiration. And the Ways to Use it challenge on Splitcoaststampers called for using stencils!
So I CASEd Pam Hornschu's Ornate Christmas Tree idea with a few Cherylynn modifications and accomplished both challenges with one card!
Instead of using metail foil to colorize the Ornate Christmas Tree like Pam did, I used 3 colors of Metallic F/X over an embossed tree to create a similar look. In keeping with the CASE theme, I kept my colors to the tri-color metallic tones of gold, copper and silver. I also kept the theme of using a sentiment with the stencil.

Remember the phrase "It takes a Village to raise a child"? Well I realized that sometimes it takes a village of manufacturers to create a card! This card is a great example of that. To create this fairly simple card I used the following:
Dreamweavers (stencil, paste and Metallic F/X)
Stewart Superior (glue pad)
Fiskars (texture plate, paper trimmer)
Spellbinders (fancy tag die)
Tsukineko (black Stazon)
Ranger (clear embossing powder)
Hero Arts (sentiment stamp)
Coredinations (cardstock)
May Arts (ribbon)
Sizzix (Big Shot machine)
and this doesn't include the X-acto knife I used to cut the copper, the cutting mat, brushes for applying the Metallic F/X, jumbo dauber, adhesive, foam tape...)
It really does take a village of manufacturers to create a card. And my friends who don't craft wonder why I have so much "stuff"! Here's proof that its all necessary!!! And that I do my best to support the economy!
Hugs and happiness to you all,
Cherylynn
